The gardens at Dartington Hall are stunning, really well-kept. My room felt spacious with lovely views, making mornings special. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. plenty of options to pick from, although finding a vegetarian sausage took a while. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel welcoming. I noticed some noise from other rooms late at night, which disrupted my sleep. the shower room could use some updates since it felt a bit dated. Walking around the grounds was lovely, but the dining experience had moments that fell short, especially with the limited kids' menu.

The historical architecture blends with tranquil gardens, making for a serene escape. Ample walking paths alongside a picturesque river offer scenic views and a delightful way to explore.
The bathroom for my room was down a public corridor, lacking privacy and quality. It felt outdated with poor upkeep. I found dust and worn furniture throughout. Without blinds on the skylight, early mornings came too soon. Wi-Fi connectivity fluctuated like a hyperdrive on the fritz. Plus, those creaky fire doors and thin walls kept me up at night. I'd suggest that better signage would help navigate the sprawling grounds, and more attention in housekeeping would enhance comfort.

would definitely book here again
The room was a cozy double with a comfy bed, heating, and a private bathroom featuring a shower. The on-site restaurant served top-notch pub food, like a really tasty burger, and breakfast had many options including freshly baked goods. The gardens were a beautiful spot to relax and wander through, especially in the spring.

Just a suitable option for a date night in Totnes with good value considering price it charged. The food in the restaurant was well above average and exceeded expectations. Make sure to try the wine selection, even if it's a bit pricey!

Stunning grounds and unique historic charm
I had a lovely stay in a cozy room that embraced the beautiful historic architecture, surrounded by well-maintained gardens that make for perfect evening strolls. The breakfast spread offered plenty of delightful options, enhancing the experience of my visit. I found the dining experience a bit lacking in atmosphere and warmth, as I was seated in an annex away from the main dining area.

I stayed for 3 nights in a cozy double room and was captivated by the beautiful gardens and historic architecture that made my stay special. The extensive grounds provided a serene environment for walks, and I truly enjoyed the cultural activities available, including cinema screenings. the restaurant's food quality did not meet expectations and could use improvement.

The grounds are simply stunning, perfect for long walks, and the nearby converted barn cinema adds a unique charm to the experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, even providing a taxi on checkout. the bus service to the nearby town was not very frequent, which made getting around a bit challenging. The bathroom setup was a bit awkward as it was not attached to my room, but it was well-maintained.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed bagel-making and exploring the beautiful grounds. The cinema on-site was a fun way to unwind after a day of activities. Breakfast was tasty, but get there early to avoid the rush.
The restaurant vibe felt a bit modern and noisy, which wasn't ideal for a relaxing dinner.
